JES Holdings prides itself on making sound investments that deliver returns both financially and within the communities we operate. By far, our greatest investment is our staff of dedicated professionals who uphold the vision of JES Holdings and drive the business forward. JES Holdings celebrates its employees in many ways throughout the year.
Michelle Sharp was a dedicated Asset Manager for Affordable Equity Partners. She was active in raising awareness of Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disorder that affected her husband. Since 2008, in honor of Ms. Sharp, this award has been presented each year to a deserving individual, chosen by directors and nominated by employees, who exemplify strong leadership qualities and dedication.
This award goes to an outstanding employee who demonstrates qualities of patience, dignity, kindness and overall dedication to their job. The award is presented in honor of Fairway Construction employee Roger Garner, who passed away in October of 2011.
The Rookie of the Year Award is presented to an employee who has been in their current position for less than 18 months, made a significant contribution within their current role, best exemplifies the values of the company, generates new ideas and creativity and is customer-focused.
The Bear Award is presented to an employee who has made a significant contribution resulting in a positive financial impact on the company.
The Sherry Gudde Award is presented to Capital Health Management employees who best exemplify Sherry’s outstanding qualities of optimism, compassion, patience and dedication for those in need.

Employee Recognition Luncheon
Every December, employees from each JES Holdings company are invited to a formal recognition luncheon. This ceremony seeks to honor individuals who have been with the company for 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years, with each celebrated employee receiving a gift of appreciation and a personal congratulations from our President, Walker Smith.
