On Wednesday, July 25, employees from the Atlanta office spent their day volunteering for Habitat for Humanity Atlanta. They joined in on the fifth day of a six day home build. Throughout the day, they helped paint the exterior and do carpentry work in the newly built home.
Geniese Douglas, Affordable Equity Partners Asset Manager, enjoyed bonding with other Atlanta employees while supporting an important cause. “It all begins with a solid foundation and a trusted team,” Geniese said. “I may not be the best painter, but I was glad to put in sweat equity for Habitat for Humanity.”
Jade Gormley, JES Holdings Executive Assistant & Personal Concierge, was especially impressed by the amount of employees who attended the volunteer day. “As we are all guilty of spending a lot of time in our ‘own bubble,’ thinking about our own world, it was heartwarming to see our office helping make a difference and working together to do it,” Jade said.
The employees even finished their day’s work ahead of schedule and went out for drinks afterwards to celebrate.
Helping Habitat for Humanity was a fun and beneficial way for our Atlanta employees to give back to their community, and they cannot wait for their next build!
