In honor of Mother’s Day, JES Holdings would like to recognize all of our employees who are mothers and thank them for the time they give to the company and to their families.
The custom of celebrating Mother’s Day is a longstanding tradition with a rich history. According to History.com, the celebration of motherhood began with the ancient Greeks and Romans holding festivals to honor mother goddesses. The origin of Mother’s Day in the United States can be traced back to the 1860s as a way to bring together the mothers of Confederate and Union soldiers.
Today, Mother’s Day is always celebrated in the United States on the second Sunday of May.
