Recently, Ironton Estates, a Fairway Management senior community located in Ironton, Missouri, hosted a Meet & Greet event for residents to gather with their local State Representative, Chris Dinkins.

At the Meet & Greet, Dinkins shared information about new legislature with residents, and she also listened to any concerns of the residents, including questions regarding Medicaid, possible cuts for funding senior programs and the elimination of Missouri Property Tax Credit returns. Residents discussed the importance of affordable housing and how much the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program has enhanced their quality of life.

Dinkins enthusiastically accepted letters written by management staff and residents that shared their concerns about cuts to funding senior programs and any tax credit cuts. Not only did Dinkins promise to bring the letters back to her Jefferson City office, but she also plans on sharing the letters and residents’ concerns with other state representatives.

Ironton Estates was so thankful for the opportunity to share their concerns and learn from State Representative Chris Dinkins!
