Towers of Excellence Golf Tournament

The First Annual Towers of Excellence Golf Tournament was held on Monday, September 21st at the Glen Echo Country Club. The event opened with lunch at 11:30 a.m. and the shotgun start was held at 1:00 p.m. Andy Burks, Senior Asset Manager with Affordable Equity Partners, Darin Windsor, Cash Manager & Reserve Coordinator with Fairway Management and David Albin, Staff Accountant with Fairway Management competed in the tournament.

Darin Windsor shared, “The JES Holdings’ Team started out slow on the first three holes with a par on each. Then we caught fire, and managed to shoot eight under on the next six holes.  David Albin was rolling putts from from everywhere on the greens. A sudden death hole was played to decide the winner, and David rolled in a putt from approximately 30 feet to win the event.  At the end of the nine-hole scramble, the JES Holdings’ team won the tournament with a score of 28, eight under par. We had a great day on the course and were thrilled to be a part of the effort to help provide resources to at-risk youth.”

Towers of Excellence Charitable Foundation provides at-risk youth with mentorship, academic guidance and entrepreneurial and life experiences. The foundation directs donations to provide quality mentors, year-long character transformation programs, entrepreneurial endeavors, quality higher education and enriching life experiences, such as internships, travel, service projects and summer work programs. Plans are underway for the foundation to provide further volunteer opportunities that allow individuals to work directly with some of the current and new programs offered.
