Day two of United Way Week began with a trip to The Food Bank of Central & Northeast Missouri. A group of 31 employees worked together to package a total of 7,938 pounds of food in two hours. Now that is teamwork!
Following the busy morning at The Food Bank, a delicious Italian lunch was served back at the office. The menu, a tradition for JES United Way Week, included meatball subs, lasagna, pizza bread and salad for $5 a plate, with all proceeds going directly to our fundraising efforts. Each year employees look forward to the delicious lunch and once again, it was a great success.
A handful of employees also donated baked goods for a “Bake Sale Treat Trolley”. The baked goods were sold around the office for $.50 an item. The delicious treats allowed for a sweet ending to a great day of fundraising for United Way!
