Affordable Equity Partners’ employees are currently preparing to run in the 2017 New Balance Falmouth Road Race. This invitation-only race in Falmouth, Massachusetts hosts more than 11,000 runners of all abilities that compete in the seven mile run.
Runners race to support local organizations and philanthropic endeavors near and dear to their hearts. Select Affordable Equity Partners’ employees run the race every year in support of The Sturge-Weber Foundation. The Sturge-Weber team raises money to help all those impacted by the port wine birthmark and related conditions of the disease.
Affordable Equity Partners became passionate about The Sturge-Weber Foundation through a business associate and friend, whose son Ryan was born with Sturge-Weber Syndrome. To learn more about Ryan’s story, click here.
This year, Charlene Johnson, AEP Director of Business Development, Dan Torgerson, AEP Director of Investor Relations and Kait Roweton, JES Creative Marketing Manager, will be running the race on Sunday, August 20, 2017. Blair Jones, JES Strategic Marketing Manager will be serving as the cheerleader for the AEP team. Thus far, they have been actively raising money for the foundation individually and with Affordable Equity Partners. One of the many fundraising activities for the race included a volleyball tournament benefitting The Sturge-Weber Foundation.
