Jeffrey E. Smith, President of JES Holdings, has fervently supported the Boys & Girls Clubs for over a decade. Most notably, Mr. Smith was instrumental in the opening of The Jeffrey E. Smith Character and Leadership Center in October of 2012. While generously supporting the programs’ operating and capital campaigns, Mr. Smith also underwrites the Jeffrey E. Smith Youth of the Year program.
Inspired by Mr. Smith, JES Holdings employees participate in a variety of fundraising events throughout the year, in which the proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs.
Chip in Fore the Kids Golf Tournament
Boys & Girls Club Farm Day
Hoops for a Cause
5K Zombie Fun Run & Halloween Festival
One of the largest events JES Holdings supports is the Rootin’ Tootin’ Chili Cook-Off benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbia. Our company has participated 10 of the last 11 years and raised over $92,000. JES Holdings sponsors a variety of fundraising efforts during the month of February, leading up to the event. In 2015 these included a spaghetti lunch, chocolate covered strawberry sales, a sushi cooking class, Academy Awards ballots, a Mardi Gras happy hour, raffle ticket sales and a trivia night.
