A Spotlight on Maintenance Techs

Fairway Management (FWM), a JES Holdings company, is responsible for the management, maintenance, marketing and business administration of more than 160 family and senior communities, single-family homes and market rate loft communities in seven different states. FWM’s team of accountants, property managers, compliance officers and field staff members work together to maximize occupancy levels, affordable rents and exceptional living standards.

Maintenance Techs within Fairway Management perform routine maintenance duties including rough carpentry, painting and basic equipment or facility repairs. They are responsible for maintaining curb appeal of the property, buildings and common areas. These men and women help our residents by providing everything from electrical repairs to carpet cleaning and loading and unloading furniture.

Mr. Tommy Birch Jr., Maintenance Supervisor of the Eastern Region explained that “A Maintenance Tech position is not only valuable but also rewarding. While working hard to preform day to day duties or emergency calls the appreciation from residents is rewarding, but the value is in resident retention.”

3sdMaintenance Techs are the reason that the properties managed by Fairway Management run like well-oiled machines. The people in these positions go the extra mile to take care of the communities.

In an effort to continue inspiring and encouraging Fairway Management employees, the group comes together each year for a week of training and teambuilding in Columbia, Missouri office. Fairway Management Days give Maintenance Techs the opportunity to compete in a “Top Tech” competition, work together to help a charity, learn more about the importance of their positions and meet new people in the field. Fairway Management Days is scheduled for the coming November.
