Memorial Hills Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Memorial Hills, a new low income housing tax credit development located in Joplin, Missouri, held its grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. There were over 75 attendees, including Fred Osborn, President of Joplin Re-Development Corporation, the Honorable Gary Shaw, Mayor of the City of Joplin, Joplin Chamber of Commerce members and the Joplin community.

The ceremony began with an introduction from Kevin Parker, President of the Memorial Hill’s development company, Parker Development. Mayor Shaw then delivered a keynote speech, as well as the closing prayer. After the ceremony, attendees watched the ceremonial ribbon cutting to signify the successful completion of Memorial Hills.

Memorial Hills is an independent senior living community that features 54 spacious one bedroom and two bedroom floor plan options ranging in price from $325 to $620. Apartments feature full kitchens with energy efficient appliances and washers and dryers in unit. The community has many amenities, including serene walking paths, a severe weather refuge area, a community billiards room, an outdoor patio with a grill area and a picnic pavilion perfect for visitors and residents to enjoy. 

Memorial Hills is now fully leased, and we look forward to seeing how it grows within the Joplin community for years to come!
