During their Fourth of July celebration, the Atlanta JES Holdings employees competed in an increasingly competitive cornhole tournament. While Robin Echols, Fairway Construction Administrative Assistant, and Colin Hendricks, Fairway Construction Contract Administrator, won the Fourth of July tournament, the other employees in the office decided they wanted a rematch! So, they scheduled their next employee engagement event: the Cornhole Redemption Tournament.
The day finally came for the tournament, and the office was all prepared with four cornhole boards, decorations and snacks. They even made a bracket with creative team names.
While every employee played honorably, the final round was between Walker Smith, JES Holdings Executive Vice President, and Jeff Nolan, JES Holdings Director of Corporate Development, versus Jeff Salter, AEP Financial Analyst I, and Aaron Snipes, AEP Transaction Analyst. The teams were tied at two games, but ultimately Walker Smith and Jeff Nolan took the prize with a win in the third game.
“It was an excellent event. I would like to give a special thanks to Jade Gormley [JES Holdings Concierge] for organizing. As a newcomer to the JES family, it was a great way to get to know the folks in the office. I look forward to defending the title,” Jeff Nolan said.
Not only does the winning team receive bragging rights, but they also get to pick the location of the next employee engagement event!
