Representatives from JES Holdings recently volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club of Columbia Farm Day. This fun event gives over one hundred local kids the chance to spend some time outdoors and participate in activities such as fishing, archery, hay rides, obstacle courses, ATV rides and a slip ‘n slide. The day was topped off with BBQ, a fish fry, and snow cones. Employees that participated include (left to right): Andrea Weber, Brooke Burge, Mary Mitchell, Mark Bradshaw, Camila Gumati, Jodi Giboney, Zak Anderson, Jordan Anderson, Andrew Long, Eric Stout, Michah Bogart and Adam Voight (not pictured).
JES employees were assigned the duty of operating a 100-foot slip ‘n slide that may have been the highlight of the event. “It was such an enjoyment to see all the smiles on the kids’ faces. Several kids came up to us and told us this is what they look forward to every summer… I’m very proud to work for a company that not only supports organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, but that encourages us to be involved with volunteer events such as this during work hours”, said JES employee Adam Voight.
