Throughout the past year and a half, Cross Creek at Lee’s Summit Assisted Living | Memory Care has continually pivoted to accommodate changes in COVID-19 protocol while working to keep the health and happiness of our residents at core focus.
Flatland, a local news outlet in Kansas City, wrote an article on assisted living communities and nursing homes in the midst of the pandemic and interviewed Cross Creek Executive Director Laura Benefiel about Cross Creek’s responses to the pandemic in order to protect residents.
Throughout the article, Laura discusses the impact of the pandemic on residents and staff. With the community being closed from visitors for a long period of time, residents and their family members relied on our team at Cross Creek even more as they became like family for our residents.
