Employees from the JES Marketing department recently attended Facebook Community Boost Conference – Atlanta. Facebook Community Boost is a program designed by Facebook to teach small businesses how to make an impact in their communities using both Facebook and Instagram’s variety of tools. This free event is put on at several cities across the U.S. and can help anyone from the avid Instagramer to those just starting a business page. You can find the complete conference schedule at https://fbcommunityboost.com/.
JES Holdings prides itself on being a small business that is committed to improving the communities we operate in. The Community Boost Conference was the perfect opportunity to learn more about how JES could reach more people in the small communities we work in and share and connect the lives of Fairway Management’s many residents – the people we are committed to serving.
“It was a great opportunity to network with other professionals in the Atlanta area and learn new techniques that will ultimately help us improve upon our social media efforts,” said Katie Blechinger, Graphic Designer at JES.
At the conference, employees attended sessions that taught them how to find new customers, operate a business on social, expand their creative arsenal and much more. There were also workshops where attendees could receive one-on-one help with issues that were specifically affecting their business.
“I really liked that you could learn something in a session, try it out and then go and ask a Facebook expert for help all while there,” said Jacob Renie, Marketing Coordinator at JES.
In addition to the learning workshops, a variety of fun photo areas were set up to help teach and inspire creative ideas for small businesses and attendees of the conference. It was a compelling way to show that people could shoot and design quality marketing materials all from their smartphones.
