Lakewood Hills Senior Village, Athens-Clarke County’s new affordable senior community for individuals age 55 years and older, is now open. The community includes 37 one-bedroom and 37 two-bedroom apartments, which range in size from 683-955 square feet. Rents for the community range from $415 to $580 per month. Residents must meet age and income guidelines in order to qualify for housing at Lakewood Hills Senior Village.
Lakewood Hills Senior Village focuses on an independent, active lifestyle and incorporates amenities such as a community room, computer library, fitness center, walking paths and community garden to support these lifestyle goals.

Lakewood Hills Senior Village was constructed by Fairway Construction Co., Inc. (FWC). FWC has built more than 170 affordable and market rate multi-family developments in seven states, including new construction and historic renovation. The community is managed by Fairway Management, Inc., (FWM), who manages affordable and market rate communities for seniors and families in seven states. The federal and state tax credit equity for the development was provided by Affordable Equity Partners, Inc., (AEP), who has extensive previous experience with both the contractor and management company for Lakewood Hills Senior Village.
