Each year, the Roger Garner Recognition Award is presented to an outstanding JES Holdings employee, who demonstrates qualities of patience, dignity, kindness and overall dedication to their job. The award was established in honor of Fairway Construction employee Roger Garner, as a way of remembering and memorializing an admired individual.
On Thursday, December 17, 2015, Fairway Construction Project Manager Devin Brown received this year’s Roger Garner Award. Devin has been a full-time employee with Fairway Construction for 13 years and was a friend of Roger Garner during his time at JES Holdings. Nominating employees stated that Devin never hesitates in helping others, always has a solution and often commits to help after hours. Co-workers describe him as a man of dedication and patience, known for always striving to do the right thing. Devin is a detail-oriented, dependable worker and multiple nominating employees stated that they “could not think of anyone more deserving of this award than Devin Brown.” He was the fifth recipient of the award and the first employee of Fairway Construction to be awarded.
