In the month of July, employees from both the JES Holdings Columbia office and Atlanta office took time out of their day to volunteer at local food banks.
The Atlanta Team went to the Atlanta Community Food Bank on Thursday, July 6, 2017. In total, 16 people from the Atlanta office were able to attend. The group sorted a total of 12,245 pounds of food, which equates to 8,795 meals.
“We were very pleased that we could make such an impact in our local community!” said Ashley Rosian, Human Resources Generalist.
The Columbia office volunteered at The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. They went in two different groups and were able to help bag food for four hours. They packaged over 3,750 pounds of apples and 3,240 pounds of frozen fish patties.
Overall, both volunteer days were a huge success.
