JES Volunteers at the Atlanta Pet Rescue and Adoption Center

Recently, the employees from the JES Holdings Atlanta office spent a day playing with animals at the Atlanta Pet Rescue and Adoption Center (APRA). APRA is a local no-kill shelter that recently partnered with the Best Friends Animal Society, a nationwide organization dedicated to finding every shelter animal a home.

The team of 11 employees met at APRA on Thursday, October 13. They were given a brief presentation, a tour of the facility and then the real work began! The groups were able to clean crates and cages, launder blankets and towels and socialize with the dogs and cats.

“We were so happy to help out the shelter! The process was a bit time consuming, but in three hours we were able to relieve the staff of difficult tasks that usually take one volunteer an entire week. Plus, the work was made easier by the interactions with over 25 adorable dogs and cats,” said JES HR Generalist Ashley Rosian.

In addition to the work the volunteers completed at the shelter, the JES Atlanta office raised $250 to donate to APRA to help them with shelter supplies and other costs. The JES team had so much fun that they cannot wait to volunteer at other local animal shelters in the future!
